What if you could relive the magic of the night with just a ticket stub?
EventShop has partnered with heavyweight sports teams like Boston Celtics, Chicago Blackhawks, Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and chart-topping artists like Morgan Wallen, Green Day, Ed Sheeran, Kane Brown to elevate memorabilia into interactive AR experiences. By blending augmented reality with physical tickets and posters, EventShop turns stubs and prints into living windows that replay highlights, exclusive content, and immersive scenes long after the event ends.
The Process
EventShop’s augmented reality experiences were needed to be accessible across iOS, Android, and WebGL environments ensuring fans could unlock interactive content on any device.
• Cross-Platform WebGL: Built a Unity WebGL app that runs in the browser, no downloads required.
• Runtime Image Targets: Dynamic image target creation allows for unlimited ticket and posters to unlock new unique AR scenes.
• OCR + Cloud: Integrated Azure OCR on web (native OCR on mobile) to scan tickets, extract keywords, and instantly match highlight videos.
• Custom Branding: Created a theme system and branded loading screens with Scriptable Objects for rapid rollout of team and artist specific versions.
EventShop’s AR ticketing experiences have been featured by major franchises and artists, adding a new revenue stream and fan engagement layer to memorabilia. By delivering a scalable, browser-based AR platform, I extended EventShop’s reach from native apps (iOS/Android) into the web, making the experience instantly accessible at live events or from home. This cross-platform foundation positioned EventShop to support league-level partnerships and millions of potential fans, while also reducing barriers for first-time users who could simply scan a ticket and watch it come alive.
By applying scalable AR design, I built EventShop’s platform to grow effortlessly so new tickets and posters can be added from the backend without recompiling the app, enabling unlimited fresh experiences for fans.
