Anheuser-Busch
Brewery AR Tour

Your augmented reality pass to the St. Louis brewery, meet Clydesdales and watch the brewing process come to life
What if every destination tour got more interactive with hidden stories, and places?
An iOS AR experience for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour, built with AR Foundation and Google Cloud/Geospatial Anchors, featuring photo ops with life-sized Clydesdales, a 360° brewmaster’s suite, and an animated, step-by-step beer-making journey.
The Process
This brewery Tour experience was built to be more than a novel AR moment: it was designed as a fully interactive, location-aware journey powered by our proprietary "AR Everywhere" platform which I worked on at Another Reality Studio.

This platform is an AR browser that lets clients create custom on-location experiences such as tours, exhibits, and scavenger hunts in a modular and cost-effective way.
For the brewery tour, we customized "AR Everywhere" to deliver three unique stops. Using Google Cloud Anchors and Geospatial Anchors in Unity AR Foundation 5, each experience was locked precisely to its location so it felt like it belonged in the space.

Tour experience stops:
Stop 1 - Visitors could pose with life-sized Clydesdales and a dalmatian in the stables
Stop 2 - Explore a 360° photosphere of the brewmaster’s exclusive suite
Stop 3 - Experience the entire beer-making process come alive with maps, animations, and videos.

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring everything stayed perfectly aligned and responsive both indoors and outdoors. Cloud Anchors required meticulous planning for persistence, while Geospatial Anchors tied outdoor content to exact GPS coordinates. Performance mattered too, so each scene was optimized for quick loading and smooth interaction on iPhone and iPad.

Working with the Anheuser-Busch team kept the creative energy high. For the brewing process, we turned a static poster into a living AR guide that walked visitors through every stage from mashing to shipping. We designed an intuitive on-screen compass to lead people from one stop to the next, making the experience feel cohesive and easy to navigate.

Because AR Everywhere is hardware-agnostic, this same architecture can power future tours, exhibits, or brand activations without starting over.

This project sharpened my ability to engineer location-aware AR at scale, solve complex spatial computing challenges, and deliver memorable, on-brand experiences through close creative collaboration.
